Terms of Service
1. Who provides the service
BookGap is operated by Mustafa Mert Türkoğlu, an independent developer based in Türkiye. These terms cover the extension, website and analysis service. By using BookGap, you agree to these terms. Questions: [email protected].
2. Free early access
The current service is free. There is no checkout, automatic renewal or payment required to unlock a report section. A random browser identifier is created automatically to support the daily allowance; it is not a registered account.
We may change or end early access. If paid plans are introduced later, their terms and price will be announced separately. You will not be charged or automatically enrolled without your explicit agreement.
3. Daily allowance
- Up to 5 completed analyses per browser per day, resetting at 00:00 UTC. Unused analyses do not carry over.
- A separate allowance of 50 analyses a day applies to each internet connection (an IPv4 address or IPv6 network prefix). Users on the same school, office, mobile-carrier or VPN connection share that one.
- Running analyses temporarily reserve an allowance. Failed analyses do not use it. Retrieving the same completed request during its 24-hour retention window does not count twice.
- Request-rate limits, repeated-failure pauses and a service-wide daily safety budget protect availability and AI costs. They may temporarily restrict access even if your personal allowance remains.
4. What BookGap does
BookGap collects a limited sample of one-, two- and three-star reviews from a book page you select. It aims to separate criticism of content from delivery or packaging complaints, then produces reader complaints, unmet expectations and a suggested book concept with a chapter outline. Review availability, coverage and filtering are not guaranteed.
5. Acceptable use
- Use the extension for your own book research, writing and publishing.
- Do not automate bulk requests, resell access, overload the service or evade limits by rotating identifiers, devices or networks.
- Do not use it to identify, harass or target reviewers or authors.
- Follow Amazon’s applicable conditions. BookGap stops when Amazon blocks access or shows a captcha; it does not bypass those controls.
- You must be at least 18 to use BookGap.
6. Content and AI output
Review text belongs to its authors. You may use the generated reports in your own research and manuscripts; we claim no rights in your books. Do not redistribute third-party review text without permission. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or unrepresentative: verify important claims and make your own publishing decisions. BookGap does not guarantee a market opportunity or sales.
7. Privacy and third parties
Our Privacy Policy explains the browser identifier, network-based limit, AI processing and retention. BookGap is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon. Amazon and Kindle are trademarks of their respective owners.
8. Availability and responsibility
This is an evolving early-access service, provided as available. We do not promise uninterrupted service, complete review coverage, a particular response time or any publishing outcome. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Stopping or changing the service
You can stop using BookGap and uninstall it at any time. We may restrict access that abuses the service or breaches these terms. Material changes will be announced on the website or in the extension. Future payment would require a separate agreement.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, subject to mandatory protections and jurisdiction rights where you live.
